The Vintage Cabin is the first of a group of A-frame cabins situated at the foot of Straja Ski Resort very close to the ski lift.
You can relax in your very own sauna after skiing, with mulled wine next to the fireplace or enjoy a campfire while admiring the mountain view.
A warm colour palette makes you feel at home as soon as you enter the Vintage Cabin. Full of joyful surprises, the cabin makes one forget about daily worries.
Whether you want to explore the surrounding nature or have a relaxed stay, we invite you to our off-the-beaten-track destination.
We look forward to welcoming you with homemade deserts and are here to help with plenty of tips to make the most of the surrounding nature.
THE SPACE
Ground level:
- bright living room with a sofa bed, 6 person dining table, pellets fireplace, TV

LOCATION AND ACCESS
Acasă Straja is located on the road that leads from Lupeni to Straja Ski Resort, a few minutes from the base of the Main Ski Lift. Located in Jiu Valley, it is a 2.5h drive from Sibiu Airport and 3h drive from Timișoara or Cluj-Napoca airports.
Free parking is available on location, 300m from the cabin. From there, during the winter, the road may not be in very good condition, however we will provide 4x4 transport for the short journey down.
OTHER INFO
One sauna session (max 1h) per day is included in the price of your stay. For extra sessions, there will be an additional cost of 150 RON per session.
The hot tub is NOT included in the price of your stay, and is subject to an additional cost of 350 RON/day.
You cannot book individual rooms, just the entire cabin, and there is a minimum booking period of 2 nights.

Nu doar ca”acasa” ci ca-n RAI!
Nu sunt vorbe mari, cine a fost oaspete ACASA, s-a simtit atat de relaxat si rasfatat, incat numai in RAI, ne imaginam ca mai poate fi atat de bine. Incredibile gazde, Marci & Nico, au robotit sa ne faca sederea de neuitat si ecourile intregului nostru grup de artisti veniti sa sustinem un concert la Palatul Culturii din Lupeni, sunt dintre cele mai laudative. Mancarea absolut senzationala, facilitatile SPA, wellness, wifi, atentia la detalii, privelistea si linistea din jur, fac din acest locsor un colt de rai. Mai “ ACASA” ca acasa! Mii de multumiri! Chapeau bas! Great job!
Cozy and beautiful
The house is great! You could take a random picture inside the house and it would be ready to post on social media. The owners were very very kind and polite and we really recommend having breakfast there - the breakfast was very delicious!
